First block the wheels to keep the truck from rolling. It does not matter if it is in park
It will still roll when the drive shaft is out. GOT IT. SAFTY FIRST.
Now craw under the truck and you will see where the drive shaft hooks to the rear end. There is 4 bolts, 2 on each side, remove them and take big screew driver and pry
the drive shaft out of the yoke. Then pull it out of the transmission. You will loose some trans fluid.
