try installdr.com
The factory stereo didn't have an external amplifer.
go to installdr.com
you will see 2 holes in each side of the radio, insert standard radio pins into these and the radio will pull out
buy factory coded wire kit at ant local auto parts store. simply match wires buy color then plug in to wires in dash. buy stereo dash mounting kit also read directions install only three screws for radio and three screws to remove from dash.
In my 1995 Metro there is no clock, other than the one that is in the stereo. If the stereo is bad, just replace it. You will need a new stereo, a wiring harness if you don't want to hack up the old factory harness, and a install kit to make the stereo fit in the hole if the old stereo is factory. Then just follow instructions included with these parts.
