Not much info there but in most cases if you are going to replace it with a new one I would unplug the wire harness then cut off the wires at the sensor then you can slip a 7/8" box wrench onto the sensor and break it loose with a counterclockwise motion and remove it.
Remove the vacuum hose from the O2 sensor. Remove the wiring harness. Remove the O2 sensor retaining screws. Reverse the process to install the new O2 sensor.
No. do you mean the front or rear o2? The front might be an A/F sensor. Big difference. But no, there isn't.
It is the O2 sensor screwed into the front of the catalytic converter
To change an O2 sensor you need to disconnect the wiring harness from the sensor. Use an O2 sensor socket and ratchet set to remove the old sensor and replace with the new one.
On the Prelude there are 2 O2 Sensors. They are on the exhaust manifold on the front of the engine. You will need to remove part of the plastic air intake in order to reach them.
Hi, The front O2 is located on the front of the exhaust manifold. The rear O2 is located on the front pipe just after the flex. section. Just disconnect the O2 and remove it counter clockwise with a rachet (front) or a key (rear). Don't forget to disconnect your battery a few minutes to rest your ECM.
O2 sensor is located in the exhaust manifold just off the front of your motor. If you open the hood and locate your exhaust manifold, follow it down toward the radiator. you should see a 1-wire sensor sticking out of the exhaust manifold. this is your O2 sensor. you will need either a special Oxygen sensor removal tool, or a 7/8 wrench to remove it.
You can't.
unscrew it
the o2 sensor is located in the exhaust manifold. As you pop the hood and look at the engine, you should see a silver colored heat shield. Unplug the old O2 sensor. Then remove the heat shield. Its easier this way (10 MM bolts). Get a O2 sensor socket and remove the sensor and replace. The rear sensor is located in 1 0f 3 places. Either before in or after the catalytic converter. For this one you just get the O2 sensor socket and remove. (When the engine is cold) Madd Dogg 40/40
The front sensor is reading wether your air/fuel mixture is correct and computer makes adjustments according to a rich or lean reading from o2 sensor. The rear sensor is reading what comes out from the cat/converter to see if converter is doing is job in removing pollutants.
(front) sensor 2 is after the cat
