Disconnect the heater lines going into the fire wall from under the hood. Remove the panels from under the dash. At this point you should be able to remove the heater cover and remove the heater core.
The water from your 1989 Chevrolet Cavalier cooling system. Remove the heater core water supply hoses. Remove the heater core retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new heater core.
Drain the water from your 1994 Chevrolet Cavalier cooling system. Remove the water supply hoses from the heater core. Remove the heater core retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new heater core.
Detach the screw that attaches the heater duct on a Chevy Cavalier and remove the heater core. Once this is done you can replace the faulty heater core with a functional one.
Lift up the vehicle and support it with jack stands and remove the two heater hose near the firewall. You have to pull the dash and all the lower fascia, then remove the box that houses the heater core. Take the clamps off the heater hoses from the engine compartment side of the firewall and disconnect the heater hoses. Disconnect the bracket that holds the heater core in place from the inside of the passenger compartment (if present.) Carefully remove the heater core and discard it. Install a new heater core reversing the above steps.

You can access the heater core from the passenger side kick plate in your 1964 Chevrolet Corvette. Remove the heater core water supply hoses. Remove the heater core retaining bolts. The heater core will come out.
