No dipstick on the manual trans. You have to remove a plug at the midpoint on the side of the case to check fluid.

Like I said earlier, I put the vehicle on my lift, remove all retaining hardware, and place a trans. jack under the unit and let it down............i have no idea how you will do it.
you remove the front differential and the trans. should come right out Haynes Manual at Auto Zone. $30. Shows complete procedure. It is a bit more difficult than the first poster said.
