The 1992 Plymouth Cold ignition switch is held in place by a retaining ring. Remove the retaining ring at the top of the ignition switch. Pull the ignition switch out. Remove the wiring harness from the ignition switch. Reverse the process to install the new ignition switch.
on my '91 with tilt steering the ignition switch is located underneath the key, inside the steering column only three screws hold it on, but alotta torx hold that cover on.....have fun

The lever you move to activate the turn signals is the multifunction switch.
I have a red 94 Plymouth acclaim that does the same thing...I am buying a new car. I hate to tell you but its the beginning of the end. Ive put 2 fuel pumps, an ignition switch, 3 altinators, and now I just put a radiator in it too!!!
It is the turn signal switch combined with the head lights, wipers, etc.
How to remove ignition switch
There is no "ignition switch" under the hood, it is located on your steering coulum in the car.
Chrysler/Plymouth/Dodge vehicles do not use inertia/reset switches.
Remove the ignition switch retaining ring. Pull the ignition switch out. Remove the wiring harness from the back of the ignition switch. Reverse the process to install the new ignition switch.
Remove the retaining ring from the top of your 1990 Lexus ignition switch. The ignition switch will slide out. Remove the wiring harness.
