Those things are a pain the behind...
I find that prying them up with 2 screwdrivers to work best - one on each side. Once it's up a little, a pair of needle-nose pliers is good to grab the base of the plastic fastener.
If these are the type that have the center insert... The center piece acts like a screw - it "should" unscrew and then just pull the surrounding base piece out.
When installing, simply insert the base, and then just push the center piece back in - no need for screwing it in.
There should be some number of plastic pins all around the lining. You should be able to pry out the middle out of a pin with a flathead screwdriver, and then remove the whole pin. Repeat this as many times as necessary in order to remove all the pins, just DON'T lose them!!
Open the trunk lid, remove the 6-8 press fit pins holding the trunk liner in place. Very easy actually.
If they are like most other cars, you just pull really hard.
Found it myself: Remove the six retaining pins that hold the trunk liner to the lid. Remove the center bolt that fastens the light assembly to the trunk lid. From the exterior, unscrew the two screws that fasten the light assembly to the lid. Squeeze the plastic lens clip and remove the lamp assembly. Remove the two electrical leads so that the bulb can be replaced. Reverse the procedure to re-assemble. The entire process takes about 15-20 minutes.
Don't remove your rear calipers! Simply drive the 2 push pins out from the outside in and the pads lift out after you remove the retaining spring. The hardest part is driving the pins out..sometimes rusted in pretty good.
from inside the trunk just take the plastic pins out that hold the carpet directly behind the tail light and twist the light socket out and change the bulb
You probably have to replace the tumbler. You MIGHT be able to simply remove the tumbler, remove any jammed pins, and reinstall it without the defective pins, IF jammed pins are the cause of the problem.
To remove the rear bumper cover on a 1993 Ford Taurus wagon, the lights need to be disconnected in the rear. Once all electrical connections are disconnected in the rear, remove the taillights and the fuel filler overflow hose. Remove any nuts and bolts holding the bumper cover on. Using needle nose pliers, pop the push pins around the bumper cover upwards. Slowly pull on the bumper to remove it.
Use a flat screwdriver to pry the pins loose from lid, similar to a door panel , then expose enough area to access the bulb housings.
When you open trunk there should be two screws attached to the tail light. Then remove trunk floor and spare tire cover, remove trim piece around trunk hook (should have pull out pins). Remove clips in carpet in front of tail light. Once everything is out pull back carpet, there will be two snaps that you will see, push them out and pull tail light(for the most part the tail light is pressure fitted.
on top of headlight assembly are 2 plastic slide pins, pull up on these to release assembly. when putting back on. push in on assembly to put slide pins down to hold assembly in.
First of all you need to remove panel around shift knob. Then remove panel around the radio. There is no screws, only simple pins. Use screwdriver from plastic or another suitable tool.
