How do you remove the AC evaporator from a 1996 Chevy Silverado?

Your best to consult a manual for doing this. You will have to be able to drain out any refrigerant left in the system, and then have the proper equipment to replace it when you finish the job.

If it's for the front evaporator the box is underneath the dash board. You have to completely remove the dashboard in order to remove the evaporator case on a 1996 Town & Country.
