Remove the 16 oil pan bolts. Remove the oil pan. Remove the oil pan gasket. Installation Apply a bead of Silicone Gasket and Sealant in two places where the cylinder block meets the front cover and in two places where the rear main bearing cap meets the cylinder block. CAUTION: Correct alignment of the oil pan is critical. Position the oil pan gasket. Position the oil pan and install the 16 bolts. Tighten the bolts in three stages: Stage 1: Tighten the four corner bolts to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft). Stage 2: Tighten the remaining bolts from back to front to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft). Stage 3: Check all bolts for correct tightness. Install the engine rear plate. Install the starter motor. Install the dual converter Y-pipe. Lower the vehicle. Fill the engine with 5W-30 Motor Oil. Raise and support the vehicle. Retighten the oil pan bolts from the back to front to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft). Inspect the oil pan gasket for correct alignment. Lower the vehicle.

Do you have to take off oil pan for 2003 jeep Cherokee when changing oil?

No, the oil pan has a plug, usually a 9/16" one, that is located on the lowest part of the oil pan. That's where you drain the oil from. There should never be a need to take off your oil pan unless you have much more serious issues than just an oil change.

How do you change trans fluid on 1999 ford Windstar?

run your van on a ramp or just jack it up , you have two oil pans under your van one is your oil pan which is the pan that holds your oil the same with the transmission oil pan the difference between the two is one has a drain plug the other does not the one with the plug is the engine oil the other one is the trans pan you change the oil by removing 16 to 24 bolts that hold up your trans pan with your van jacked up you need loosen all the bolts removing the back ones or until fluid starts to drain then you slowly begin to take out the bolts from the back side and start removing the bolts from back to front until you have taken all the bolts out you need to leave one bolt up front so the pan does not fall and hit you cause your pan still has oil in it brake lose your pan remove it

How can remove oil pan 1991 Toyota pickup 2wd 2.4 liter engine?

There are two ways to get the clearance required to remove the oil pan. Start by draining the oil pan, after all the oil is out remove the 16 bolts and two nuts holding the oil pan on. You can use a oil pan seal cutter to break the seal or if you don't have one just use a putty knife (it okay to scratch the pan a little but do not bend the flange!) There are two strut bars under the engine that need to come out. One is a square tube about a 1.5 feet long and the other is a typical tubular strut bar, remove both of them. Once the oil pan is loose the easiest way to get it out is to lift the engine about 2-3 inches. Start by hooking up an engine lift to the front lift point on the engine. You will be pivoting the engine on the transmission mount so you only want to lift at the front of the engine. On the passenger side undo the two bolts on the sides of the motor mount (should be 14mm) and on the driver side undo the nut in the center of the mount (should be 17mm). Now lift the engine 2-3 inches and the oil pan should be able to slide out. Unfortunately the oil pan takes up the entire front part of the engine so there is no room to use a jack if you dont have a car lift. If you dont have access to an engine lift the you will have to remove the steering rack from below the engine. There are three ball joints that will need to be separated so you will need a pickle fork or some tough screw drivers to pry them apart. Undo the two castle nuts and ball joints on the passenger side and the one on the driver side and undo the big bolt from the pinion arm. You should be able to remove the steering rack now and the oil pan should be able to just come straight down.
