Start by folding down the back, take a trim tool and pry out the plastic rivets holding the carpet to the seat. remove the carpet from the seat back and fold out of the way. on the bottom of the seat wher it pivots there should be two bolts per side, if my memory is right you only have to unbolt one side, and the seat back will pull out. next there should be one bolt a little off center holding the back of the seat bottom down, remove it. grab the back of the seat bottom and pull up, there should be two hooks on the front of the seat wiggle them free and it should pop out.
Go buy the Chilton's Honda Repair Manual. Unplug Battery, Slack belt tension, Remove mounts, Pull wires on back, Install new, Replace wiring and Belt, Attach Battery, test!

No it's not. That is the fuel filter. The fuel pump is in the fuel tank. you can access it through a cover plate just behind the back seat. No need to remove the fuel tank. For an 1988 Honda Accord LXI the fuel pump is in the back right of your intake manafold.
Remove the negative battery terminal from the battery first, then remove the wires from the back of the starter. Now remove the two bolts holding the starter in and remove the starter. Reverse these steps for installation.
