undo the screws, there's one at the base on the back (side of the connectors). you'll need a long socket wrench connector On mine there was rectangular box in front of the battery that slides up off a metal plate that is secured by the same bolt holding down the front of the battery. Once you slide off the rectangular box, the bolt is more easily accessible.
Use a "torx" head screwdriver.
Non functioning charging system. Possibly defective battery, alternator, of belt slipping or broken.

First you have to slide off the computer looking thing in front of the battery, you should then see the metal plate it was attached to - which is also holding down the battery... simply remove it with a wrench and disconect the battery cables (black first) and the battery should slide right out.
If you are meaning SL they swap no problem. Some of the electronics from the original car will have to be swapped to the donor engine.
There is no vacuum canister on this vehicle.

They are stamped into the door frame, you can't remove the arm rest. However, if you're wondering how to get to the INNER mechanism of the door, you have to remove the outer door skin. Instructions are elsewhere.
There is a relay inside the fuse box that is adjacent to the battery.
Most are just held in place with clips & just pop off after you remove handles, etc. Pry on a corner & see if this is method of retention on yours.
Look under the car and count them.
