if its a standard/manual truck. slave cylinder would be located on the firewall next to the brake booster, and would take standard dot 3 brake fluid.

The 400 in the 1979 F150 has a 2 barrel carburetor , so unless your willing to change the intake manifold to a 4 barrel manifold and get a 4 barrel carburetor , I would stick with original equipment
The 1986 Ford F1 50 pickup truck dashboard is held in place with six retaining bolts and 10 retaining clips. Remove the retaining bolts and pry outward on the retaining clips.
