How do you remove the driver door panel on your 1996 Ford Explorer?
Remove the screws from the handle and then the door panel will slide up. It has clips that will only let it slide up
How do you replace the driver's side windshield wiper motor which no longer rotates on a 1996 Ford Explorer when you can not even figure out how to get to the motor?
I think you're looking in the wrong place. Remove the two black grills the wiper arms poke out of. Remove the plastic sheet glued to the white panel near that driver side wiper arm. The motor is right there. Remove the three screws. Remove the little locking gizmo on the BOTTOM of the shaft - poke a screw driver onto the bottom part of it, spread it apart, then push it off the shaft perpendicar…
i forget what the black box thing is called but if you take your panel off in the back of your explorer in the cargo area it is on the driver side. the panels im talking about are plastic and are located on the side interior before the wheel wells. you'll see a black electrical box with a white strip tab taped on it with numbers there. that is your code
It's under the driver side dashboard on the left side of the steering column. It's mounted to a bracket. You need to remove the plastic panel just below the steering column to access it. Remove the three bolts at bottom of panel then carefully pry top of panel straight out from dash. Flasher is mounted on a bracket at left side of this opening, directly above emergency-brake pedal.
just undo all the screws on the door, and when you see those little cover pieces that are an off color from the rest, take a Philips screw driver and pry those off because there are extra screws underneath. Remember to take the cover off the inside door handle, and there will be screws on the bottom of the door panel. Good luck
