How do you remove the fuel pump on a 2001 Ford Ranger?

Removing Fuel PumpThere are two ways to do this. One is to remove the filler hose neck from gas tank then disconnect the wiring harness connector for tail lights at bumper mounting bracket driver side then remove bed mounting bolts and remove bed 2nd remove filler hose drive shaft for room to work remove tank mounting straps slightly lower tank disconnect vent lines pressure and return lines and wiring connector main part of removing from tank is to use tool if don't have use hammer and punch to rotate ring on sending unit remove ring pull pump ass out there is a quick disconnect tool for removing press and set lines push into connectors rotate connectors pull lines back and off reverse procedure for inst except just push lines back on until the click if by chance it has white plastic connectors u shape pull out replace with new
