I'm not sure how to remove it totally, but if the purpose is to replace the cabin air filter, it is extremely easy (< 1 minute) to lower it enough for that purpose.

1. Open the glove box. Open the passenger side door as well.

2. To the right of the open glove box is a plastic rod attaching the glove box to the dash. At the bottom, where it connects to the glove box, you'll notice a little indention, as if you're meant to press there. Press forward there. You'll feel it unsnap from the glove box.

3. Grab the sides of the glove box compartment back at the back, where it's hitting the dash. Push in gently. The glove box will now drop way down, exposing the cabin air filter tray.

4. The cabin air filter is in a plastic tray behind the glove box. The tray says "Air Flow" on it. It's held in by two latches, one on the right side and one on the left. Simply push on those latches and pull out, the tray will come out with the dirty filter.

5. Push up from underneath the tray to pop the filter out. Replace with a new filter. New filters are available from your dealer or online (should be about $15).

6. Push the tray, with the new filter, back into the slot.

7. Reattach the plastic rod by sliding the end back into the little slot on the glove box and then by hooking your finger around it at the base and pulling it toward you. You'll feel it click into place.

8. Depress the sides of the glove box gently to get it back up into the dash.

9. Close the glove box.

Once you're familiar with the procedure, it takes longer to empty the glove box than to do it. And for this your dealership probably wants $60 in labor (that's $3600 an hour!)

How do you change the cabin filter on a 2008 Honda Accord?

Purchase a Purolator Cabin Filer. It comes with detailed instructions. On my 2004 Accord it is located behind the glove box. You simply open the glove box, disconnect the hanger on the right side, squeeze the glove box enough so it will fall down, and then remove the filter located in the back. 2008 may or may not be the same.

How do you remove glove box 2008 Tundra?

It's real simple. Empty out you glove box first, on the right side there is a small plastic guide. remove it from the glove box. Reach into the box and squeeze in on the sides to get the stops past the stop braces. The box will fall forward. That's it. Behind the glove box you will find the Cabin air filter. Now is a good time to replace it.
