It's very simple. Empty out the old master cylinder by using a syringe or just dip rags or an old spunge. Remove the lines from the master cylinder to the brakes. Be very careful not to strip the nuts. Then cover the lines with a small plastic bag so they won't get dirty or leak. Next, remove the two nuts that hold the master cylinder to the black booster and it should come right off. You will most likely need to take off the reservoir from the top of the old cylinder. To do this just unscrew the little bolt under the reservoir and slide it right off. Clean it out real good so you don't get dirty fluid in the new master cylinder. Then put it on the new cylinder the opposite way you took it off the old one. This part is a little tricky. You will need to "bench bleed" the new master cylinder before you install it. Get a friend to help you and get a wide bucket or a LOT of rags. Fill the reservoir about half way. Then pump the shaft until fluid comes out of the holes that the brake lines screw into. Push in the shaft until the fluid comes out, put your fingers over the holes so air can't be sucked back into the cylinder. Then let the shaft come back out. Do this at least three times until no air comes out when you push the shaft in. Lastly, you are ready to install the new cylinder. Slide the cylinder over the bolts and put the nuts on finger tight. Next, hook up the brake lines. You can bend the lines slightly so it will be easier to screw in. Once you tighten the lines go ahead and tighten the two nuts that hold the cylinder to the booster. Get in the car and start it. You should now feel pressure when you pump the brakes. As a precaution, you should bleed the brakes at each wheel before driving the car for regular use. But if you've done everything correctly you might be able to skip that step. Take the car on a short test drive on less traveled roads to check out the brakes. To do this tap the brakes several times to come to a stop and also come to a sudden stop from about 25 mph. If these tests work you don't need to bleed at each brake.
