Many of turn signals are now replaced by removing the turn signal globe by popping it out from the bumper/grill. If there are no screws, then it may just snap in place. Once you pop it out, the bulb will just unscrew. I have not replaced that exact model, however, many GM vehicles have gone to this style.....1930fcoupe

Open the hood of your Impala and remove the negative battery cable with your socket set. Sit in your driver's seat and look at the clear plastic shield that rests in front of your odometer and other gauges. You will have to first remove this shield. Find the two screws that hold the clear plastic shield in place. They are located at the top rim of the shield. Remove them with a Phillips screwdriver. Pull the plastic shield out and set the two screws safely inside it so you do not lose them. Place one hand on each side of the instrument board and jiggle it slightly util one side or the other moves forward. Pull the entire panel forward slightly. However, do not pull too hard, as there are an abundance of wiring harnesses attached to the back. Locate the small, clear light bulb. Remove it with your finger and stick the replacement bulb in its socket. Replace the instrument panel and clear plastic shield. Replace the negative battery cable.

1) Open hood and locate black plastic shield above the headlights. 2) Unscrew black plastic screw on the shield in the very corner and fold the shield toward the center of the car. 3) You can unscrew and replace the headlight bulb or remove the three screws holding the headlight assembly and take the whole assembly out (if you want). 4) For the turn signal (corner unit), there is another single screw near the fender that holds the corner unit. Unscrew that and the whole unit comes out. You can then replace whatever bulbs you need to. . -Steve

You have to remove the plastic cover underneath of the steering wheel, after that the metal shield behind the plastic cover. When you remove the shield you will get access to the ignition lock cylinder. Disconnect the wire harness, remove the cylinder, install a new cylinder. Connect the wire harness, install the shield, install the plastic cover. PS: Before start write down the code for your stereo (if you have one), disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Be careful when you work around the air bags.

Open the hood and find the electrical lead into the headlamp: that plugs directly into the bulb, which is screwed into the headlamp. You just need to remove the plastic shield over the back of the headlamp to gain access, unplug the electrical lead, and unscrew the bulb. Replace the bulb, reattach the lead, and reinstall the shield. A 10-minute job!

Jack up the front of the vehicle. Remove the passenger side wheel. Remove the plastic mud shield that covers the engine, there are several plastic retainer pins that should pry out with a little attention to detail. Remove the serpentine belt, or at the very least, take pressure off of it enough to pull it away from the water pump pulley. Some serpentine tensioners have a square hole that accommodates a 1/2 inch breaker bar. At that point, the water pump should be relatively easy to remove/replace.

The oil filter is locate underneath the motor, beneath a plastic shield that covers the entire bottom of the engine. You must first remove all 10mm bolts to remove the shield then use a special wrench to remove the plastic oil filter housing. Do not overtighten the housing or drain plug. I believe 5.8 quarts of oil is needed.

There is a fuse located behind the battery. You will have to remove a plastic shield that runs behind the battery first. You will then find a round fuse holder with a single fuse in it. Check and replace if burned out , this is the most likely cause.

The fuel filter on all Lincoln Mark VIII models is located behind the plastic splash shield in the rear portion of the passenger side front wheel well. You need to turn off the air suspension, then lift and properly support the raised vehicle and remove the right front wheel/tire. Then you will see several securing screws and a few of those plastic push-in clips that are holding the plastic splash shield in place. Remove the screws and carefully pry out the push in clips then remove the shield and you will see the filter there.

Should that job cost $100? Would a failing thermostat cause the radiator to crack, leak and overheat on my 1991 Acura?
