Hi I'm Bigboudda I havn't registered yet, I just did on fordforums b4 i saw this site. Well in order not to damage the pully or pump shaft you will need a puller. You can buy whats called a P.S and alternator pully kit which sells here in On Canada for about 79.00
You will need a power steering pulley puller. It is designed to remove and install the power steering pulley. If you attempt to remove the pulley without it you will probably damage the pulley or the pump or both.
That pulley is pressed on and off. It requires a special puller to remove it and to install it.. Some parts stores will rent them to you for free.
Rent or buy power steering puller/installer from parts store. you will need to make sure it is a REMOVER and INSTALLER
Begin by removing the belt from your 1994 Chevy Suburban power steering pump. Remove the power steering pump hose. Remove the power steering pump retaining bolts. The power steering pump will come off.
Loosen, then remove the belt. Shine a light through one of the holes in the PS pulley and turn it slowly. You will see three bolts through the holes. Use a 13mm socket and a swivel to unscrew and remove these bolts. Lift the pump out of position and remove the hoses. Use a Power Steering Pulley Puller to remove the pulley. This puller grips the pulley by its center hub. Any other type of puller will destroy the pulley and then you will need a new pulley.
Begin by loosening the tensioner pulley. Slide the tensioner pulley to the right. The power steering belt will become loose and can be removed. Put the new power steering belt on and tighten it by sliding the tensioner pulley to the left.
Did you remove the nut from the pulley first?
A special puller and installer tool is required. Auto Zone and Advanced Auto Parts loan tools.
The power steering belt has an adjustment pulley. To tighten the belt on a 1994 Acura Vigor loosen the adjustment pulley and pull it up higher than tighten it.

Have you checked to make sure the belt is still on the PS pump pulley?
