I've had mine at least goin over 100 maybe 105. With 350 mines a 93 ext cab 4wheel drive.
The Chevy engine has something called a governor. This is done to prevent you from going over 100mph. Most of the new vehicles have them in the engine. The only was to stop this is to have the governor removed but it is not necessary and it does not harm your vehicle at all.

You can't remove the governor because it does not have one. The revolutions of the engine and top speed are controlled by the ECU.
Left side of the where the speedometer is there will be a panel you can remove and there will be where the fuses are
Remove speedometer head Disconnect old cable Follow original routing for new cable Disconnect fitting at side of transmission and remove cable - replace with new
