How do you remove the steering wheel from a 1950 Rivera with the throttle in center of the wheel?

Could be that arrangement for the throttle was a "one of a kind" and possibly custom built for someone with disabilities or maybe an early attempt for cruise control. If it was assembled by someone you should be able to disassemble it. Take pictures and make notes as you take it apart.
