How do you remove the steering wheel on your 1962 Ford Falcon?

You will need to remove the horn ring first. Some just pull off, and some have small screws from the back. Once removed, you will see a white piece of plastic with a couple of screws in them, and the blinker stalk will have a screw holding it to this plastic. this plastic is you blinker cam. There should be a couple of wire going into it, as well. Remove this, and you will be staring right into the eyes of a large nut. 7/8's, or so. Remove this nut. Then, you will need a specialty tool. A steering wheel puller. You will see a couple of bolt holes down in the steering wheel. A good puller will comwe with an assortment of fine threaded bolts, which, you should have two that work. If not hunt up a couple of 5/16's, NFC bolts. They usually are fine threaded. The puller has a threaded shaft through it. Bolt the puller to the wheel, and run down the threaded stud against the shaft that you removed the nut from, and begin to tighten. The wheel will come off as the puller puts pressure on it.
