i have the double din in my 2000 ex coupe. if i remember correctly there are 2 screws on the bottom side of the center dash (right below the CD player). and there is a third behind the clock unit in the inside of the dash. you will need to disconnect the clock and the climate control but it is very simple. after you take out the third screw you should be able to remove that entire center portion rather easilly. after that just remove the screws (use a magnetic screwdriver as some are on accessable by tool and my be lost without it) on the metal part of the din and install your new head unit.
Follow the instruction in the link to remove the plastic cover http://www.installdr.com/InstallDocs/Honda/PDF/466053.pdf

yes. to get to it, you probably need to remove the glove box and lower panel.
There is an access panel in the car just above the fuel pump. Remove that panel and you can access the pump.
