i have the double din in my 2000 ex coupe. if i remember correctly there are 2 screws on the bottom side of the center dash (right below the CD player). and there is a third behind the clock unit in the inside of the dash. you will need to disconnect the clock and the climate control but it is very simple. after you take out the third screw you should be able to remove that entire center portion rather easilly. after that just remove the screws (use a magnetic screwdriver as some are on accessable by tool and my be lost without it) on the metal part of the din and install your new head unit.

Remove the wheel then remove the two calipher bolts that hold the calipher to the spindle. Then remove the calipher assembly out of the way and support it. Do not allow the calipher assembly to hang from the brake hose. At this point the rotor can be removed......1930fcoupe

Honda cars are usually good quality, and the 2000 Accord is quite safe. On the Cars website they have a Safety Rates and Crash Test Ratings section which give the 2000 Honda Accord 4 stars and an "acceptable" overall rating.
