How do you remove the tail light lens on a 2000 VW Beetle to replace the bulb?

Let's pretend it is the driver side rear bulb that need to be replaced:
1- In the trunck, remove the left panel covering the back of the light (it's approximately 4"x6") No tools reaquired, just pull it out.
2- There 's a black knob inside that you will need to remove, again with your bare hand.
3- Now the stupid part: looking at the rear of the car, around the light, you need to insert a tiny screwdriver between the light casing and the car body to unlock the casing. Where? looking at the casing,pretendind it's a watch there are 2 locks located at 4 o'clock and 5 o'clock. Personnally I used a plummer Plunger on the casing to pull it out a bit to see the locks.
I double checked this procedure with ma Volks dealer...
