how to replace a water pump on a 1991 acura legend
in front of engine must remove the timing belt covers
its behind the timing belt. first remove the p/s pump and bracket, then the alt. belt. remove the upper and lower timing belt covers. make sure to align crank to top dead center. remove timing belt and you should be able to remove the water pump at that point. use a factory honda/acura water pump. the aftermarket parts ate garbage. make sure not to mess up the timing when reinstalling the t-belt and adjuster assy.
Drain the water from the cooling system. Remove the water hose from the water pump. Remove the belt from the water pump. Remove the water pump retaining bolts.
Drain the water from the cooling system. Remove the water hose from the water pump. Remove the water pump retaining bolts. Remove the water pump. Reverse the process to install the new water pump.
Drain the radiator. Remove the drive belt, and the crankshaft sprocket cover. Unbolt the pump, replace it, then re-install the cover and belt.
