You have to go to the dealership to have your keyless remote reprogrammed. They have a scan tool to tell the computer that you are using a new key fob. I just did it to my 1997 sebring. I knew the service manager, so he let me borrow it, it took me about 15 minutes, most will do it for a small fee, some will do it as a courtesy.

It is not possible to have a turbo timer hold open a circuit on a BA Falcon and still be able to use the keyless remote. The turbo timer must be on a close circuit at all times for keyless remote to operate.?æ

For a 1997 Chrysler Sebring convertable remote it is pretty easy. Using a coin carefully pry the unit open. Note there is a recessed area to place the coin in. It should easily snap apart. Then use a small screw driver to carefully pry the circuit board out of the one half. One side of the circuit board seems to have more space between the cover and the circuit board to allow you to do this. Once you have the circuit board out the batteries are clearly visable and it is simply a matter of removing and replacing watching the polarity. The + side of the battery goes down. Carefully replace the circuit board by gently pressing it into the case with the four red buttons up. Snap the two halves together and you are set. If you don't have the batteries out for long it should work immediately. If the batteries are dead or out of the unit for awhile it may not function. If this happens try hitting the lock button 5 times at 2 second intervals. This should reset the code. If this doesn't work not sure what to do.
