04 chevy 6.0 2500hd
I guss the old way spray a little carb cleaner in it and shake it.
The easiest way to check this is to pop out the PCV valve. Once it is out, inspect it for dirt or oil, and give it a shake - it should make a rattling sound if things are in working order. It doesn't hurt to change your PCV valve after a period of time just to keep things running well.
location of egr valve on 04 grand am v6
Yes, there is a problem with the design of the 2002-2003 valve covers. It's best to replace them with valve cover (rocker cover) for a 2004 maxima. They are exact fit, work better and are MUCH cheaper than the 02-03 valve covers. You must order gaskets seperately and the 04 valve covers come with a new PCV as well.
On the oil fill cap side of the valve cover. To access the PCV valve you will need to remove the protective plastic cover mounted over the valve cover area. Two small nuts are holding it in place. Unlike other PCV valves you may have changed in the past, this one is screwed into the valve cover instead of being inserted into a rubber grommet. You will need a 22MM deep socket or a suitable wrench to remove it. karjunkie 04/17/10 12:24 pm PST
I have a 04 sebring 2.7 L, the PCV Valve is located on the top of the engine. Towards the back and towards the driver side. There is a wire casing right beside were the adaptor comes out of the top of the engine. From this plastic piece coming out at 90 degrees screws in the PCV valve. The other end is attached to the hose that runs towards the front of the engine. There is only one hose on the top so it should be easy to find..........
I've written it up here... http://samboutros.wordpress.com/2007/04/02/2003-audi-a4-bulb-replacement/ Steps, pictures and links to bulbs...
Isuzu pcv number 8-97289-271-0(MSRP $15.95) is located on the left (driver) vavle cover. On the left VC cover it is closest to the rear of the cover towards the firewall. It will have a hose connection on it leading to the throttle body.
I actually found it after viewing another post. The port is behind the intake manifold above the EGR valve. Very tight space, so feel around back & connect that end first. Then connect the PCV end. Much easier that way. I believe it's the same for 01-04 Trackers V6 2.5L.
