I have a 97 Ford probe and when I had to replace my alternator... I had to pulled the passenger tire off and pull the whole assembly apart so I could get the alternator.. There are 2 bolts to loosen up and pull the belt out slide the alternator down by the exhaust and pull it out by the CV axle
i am pretty sure the gt had the 2.5L engine. if that is the case this is the procedure: 1. relieve the fuel pressure. 2. disconnect the fuel return tube. 3. remove vacuum line from fuel pressure regulator 4. remove mounting bolts to fuel rail and remove regulator 5. remove the o-ring from fuel rail and replace before installing new regulator reverse procedure to install

To fix a window that won't roll up on a Ford Probe, the door panel will have to be removed. The cable for the window will have to be restrung onto the pulley or a new one will have to be installed.
Replace it.
