I am about to do this project in a day or so, but I do know that you'll need to start by taking serpentine belt (drive belt) off. With a metric 15mm wrench loosen the center bolt on belt tension-er pulley. (If you do not know where this is--STOP--take to garage). Now, after writing down a diagram of EXACTLY how the belt goes to your engine, loosen tension-er and remove the drive belt (serpentine). With a 10mm wrench-remove the 4 lock nuts to fan and remove. If you are timid to do any of this, my advice to you is get a HAYNE'S manual to your Jeep at AutoZone (or, your local parts store) read and follow.

how do I replace water pump 2000 Pontiac Grand AM SE1?
The water pump does not have a specified life span. The time to replace it is when it is leaking or noisy.
First drain the water out and disconnect the battery then remove the fan and fan shroud and serpineteen belt then disconect the lower radiator hose and remove the pulley off the water pump then remove the heater hose that's connected to a pipe off the water pump and then remove water pump.

2000 Toyota Celica have timing chains.
In order to remove the water pump on a 2000 Mazda Millennia, you must first remove the timing belt and the pulley for the water pump. Remove the pump itself by detaching the four bolts that are securing it. Next, replace any gaskets, install the new pump, then the pulley, and then the timing belt.
