∙ 14y agoYou have to remove the taillight assembly. When you open the lift gate there is 2 push clips (black round) that keep it in place. To remove the clips, you have to pull sort of hard. Then slide the taillight out of the slot that it clips into. Don't be afraid to pull the taillight, it's in there pretty tight even after the clips are removed. Twist the light bulb that needs replacing to the left and insert your new bulb.

Open up your tailgate and on the sides of the taillights will be screws, you need a Allen wrench or Allen type screwdriver. Unscrew them and pull out the taillight assembly (use a little muscle it'll come out, don't drop it) there you will find the bulb sockets gently twist out and replace the bulb ( the bulb number should be on the base, use this for replacement bulb) reinstall the taillight and put the screws back in. NOTE: the driver side access to the screws are a little tight and the passenger side is completely visible when you open the tailgate (2 screws per tailight )..
