(This is important as you will need to reach the bolts to the starter by reaching from the top down via that location) Remove the starter/ acceleration cable (1 bolt at the end of the cable, 2 bolts at the guide point screwed intot the engine block) THE STARTER IS LOCTED AT THE BACK OF THE ENGINE WITH ONLY 2 BOLTS HOLDING IT IN PLACE Remove the 2 bolts about half way with a socket wrench, remove the bolt sthe remining way with hand or open end wrench. (This is necessary especially on the lower bolt as there is liited work space.) Take hold of the the starter using a partially blind reach and patially pull it out slightly turning it around so you can see the connectors. Remove connectors........
Remove clip, the the bolt that holds the positive cable. You can now fully remove the starter. Take it 2 the local auto parts to have it tested. Have them test it 4 to 5 "bumps" as when mine was initially tested it worked fine but after 2 to 3 more attempts it froze and would operate. To reinstall reverse procedure Hope this helps.
