  1. Move the front seats back.
  2. Remove or disconnect the following:

    The negative battery lead. The A-post panels of the dashboard The end covers on both sides The soundproofing panels The courtesy lighting The On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) connector The steering wheel The combined instrument panel Gear selector assembly and steering wheel module The center console The dashboard environment panel The connector for the hazard warning signal flasher

  3. Remove or disconnect the following:

    The cable for the parking brake at the cable terminal by the release handle. Detach the gear selector assembly, if equipped. Turn the gear selector assembly a quarter turn with the control downwards towards the driver's seat. The glove compartment The connector for the passenger air bag module The lower mounting for the passenger air bag module The screws holding the dashboard Lift out dashboard.

  4. Remove the fan motor from the climate control unit: Do not detach the air conditioning (A/C) pipes or the engine coolant hoses.
  5. Remove the drain hoses from the engine and filter housing.
  6. Move the drain hose out of the way.
  7. Disconnect the electric connector at the fan motor.
  8. Remove the screws from the blower fan motor.
  9. Detach and remove the blower fan motor and fan shroud.

This is completely wrong unless it's for a different make/model. Since the V70 covers at least 3 completely different model designs maybe the poster as well as the answer should give a bit more information on what this pertains too...that is year!
