On my 1988 Conv the third brake light comes out through the license plate opening.The service manual suggests removing both the gas filler door and rubber boot along with the license.

You have to replace the whole assembly, you cannot replce the switch itself. The assembly pops out with a standard screwdriver and is attached to a wiring harness. The assembley sells on ebay for ~$100-$150.00
You need to remove the hub assembly and replace it. It consists of bearing, studs and speed sensor. The wires are attached to a connector which is clipped to sensor shield. You cannot remove sensor on Montana without removing the hub. The sensor is a part of assembly.
I have 1997 Nissan Maxima. You ned to replace the entire hub assembly. My problem is that they discontinued the 1997 hub assembly and the suggested replacement part's ABS ring is 4MM taller therefore the ABS sensor cannot clear the ABS ring. Any ideas on this one?

Key or ignition tumbler is worn. If you cannot remove the key, then you will have to remove the tumbler assembly and replace it. If you can get the key out, then try a key that is not used very often. If it works, have a duplicate made of that key and destroy the other key with the problems.
