crank sensor can somtime make it not start, i just had to replace mine last week on a 98 2.2 cavalier that stoped all the bucking and cuting out . . now my cam sensor is gone and now the car wont start sooo .. . i say it lil bt mix of crank and cam sensor . i say replace both of them at the same time and save your troubles . . . that should be you problem. replace the starts first your spark plugs and cabbles and your gas filter then go to you coil pack and mogue .. if not dont make a differences then switch over your crank and cam sensor .. . hope that helps yeah out

The crank sensor is located behind the Harmonic balancer. Try not to break the rubber within the Harmonic balancer when removing or on the safe side replace both the Crank sensor and the Harmonic balancer ( the big pulley on the bottom - most part of the engine.)
To replace the crank sensor you have to remove the harmonic balance taking special attention not to damage the pulley or the cam shaft. Remove the two 10mm retaining screws

The cam sensor is the distributor, The crank sensor is in the front bottom left side of the timing cover. Behind the balancer.

yes but the cam sensor and the crank sensor work to geather so make sure to have it tested if you can to make sure wich is bad .
The crank sensor is on the left side top of the bell housing behind a shield. One bolt to remove but be careful as the wires are extremely thin.
