The dashboard *switch* - slide control itself??
Never heard of one of those going bad, but... Start with the dash trim piece - 2 7mm screws at the bottom - alongside the ashtray/cup-holder pull out. The trim piece then unsnaps from the dash.
Expect a couple more screws holding the heater controls and wire connection or 2.

You have a faulty temperature blend door actuator located directly behind the radio. Remove the radio and remove the blend door actuator held to the heater case with three 8mm screws, and replace it.

Pull the front dash bezel out that surrounds the cluster and the radio and the a/c-heater controls out and then remove the controller and replace the switch.............
it is the switch you use to turn blower up and down.if you mean resistor it is in the heater box next to blower motor

Check fuse if the blower is not working. If it is then replace your heater core. if its not then replace your fan switch.
The heater switch can be replaced on a Chevrolet Corsica by removing the three wires from the back of the switch. Put the wires onto the new switch and return it to its slot.
