How do you replace a lug bolt on the front axle of a 1998 Ford Windstar?

I replaced a lug bolt on a Ranger a few years ago. I took a small sledge hammer and "tapped" it back through the hole. (the opposite way that it is tightened) Make sure nothing is behind it. Oh yeah I did have to remove the caliper and brake roter first.
The majority of Windstars have a wheel bearing / hub assembly. To replace a broken lug (if possible) is going to require the hub to come out.
