How do you replace a water pump where you broke a bolt I cant get the broken bolt out. Can I replace the water pump with 4 bolts instead of 5.?

After removing the pump, if part of the bolt is sticking out, you may be able to grab it with vice grip pliers. Using a penetrating oil is also a good idea. If you cant grab the bolt, you may try a device called an e-z out. You will have to drill a hole in the bolt of the proper size then insert the e-z out in the hole and turn it with a wrench to remove the bolt. as a last resort the bolt can be drilled out then new threads inserted in the engine by a device known as a helicoil. This may have to be done at a garage by a mechanic.
