remove the shrowd from the front of the engine carefully so it can be reinstalled. If you break the firm mounts you can put it back on with nylon holding straps used to tuck wiring together, etc. Remove the old alternator carefully. Take it to a shop for rebuild or install new alternator in its place. Its a good idea to have a system check of your electronics so your new alternator will be able to function correctly and for a long period of service. A new battery might be in order if yours is on its way out.
