I have had the same problem. I simply removed the broken plastic handle which left the cable with a metal hook end exposed which you can pull directly toward the rear of the car. It is a little uncomfortable and works better with gloves. I am looking for a replacement online, but haven't found one yet
If it doesn't have a release handle, you step down on the parking brake pedal one more time to release it.
Start by looking over the mechanism for the Pacifica parking brake. Make sure that the parts operate freely and the ratchet is working. If the unit is not simply stuck, then it will have to be replaced as a whole assembly.
If you look down just behind the emergency brake there is a little black plastic object maybe the size of a quarter you can push that and release the brake.
Open hatch and remove LEFT small plastic door and pull Emergency release cable.
It's behind a small removable plastic panel in the dash , below the steering wheel and between the inside hood release and the emergency brake release
how do i release the emergency brake on a 1963 ford thunder bird?
Open Call - 2012 I Camerata Pacifica 1-20 was released on: USA: 27 September 2012
You open the rear hatch, and remove the two plastic hole covers from the top center trim piece. They allow you to access two phillips screws that go straight up. Once both screws are out, that center trim piece snaps down (it is held by three plastic snap clips). With that piece out of the way, you can reach up above the headliner and get to a 10mm bolt that secures the antenna base. Two wires attach to the antenna, and the connectors are easy to disconnect once you find the tab to release them.
it is right below the emergency break release on the left side there should be a little hole in the plastic and the fuel reset button will be in there
Hood release is not electric, therefore there is no emergency release
