The crank sensor is located at the front of the engine (right side of the car) mounted slightly to the right of the belt pulleys. It sits just above the crankshaft. It is approximately 2 - 3/4 inches long and has two small cap screws, one on either side. Both can be accessed from the top without pulling the right front wheel.
Tools needed: 1/4 drive rachet and a 9/32 inch - 1/4 drive socket or 1/4 drive - 7 mm socket, 8 mm wrench and portable drop light.
Procedure:
1. Use 8 mm wrench to disconnect positive battery terminal.
2. Press in clip on pigtail and remove connector from top of sensor
3. Remove cap screws with rachet and socket.
4. Put a drop of Loctite medium strength on both cap screws.
5. Install new sensor (be careful to seat guide ring on back of top mounting hole into seat around bolt hole - when you start the cap screw it should set in place with no problem)
6. Install bottom screw and snug both.
7. Optional (use feeler gauge and check clearance between sensor tip and crank trigger. Clearance should be around .035 -.040 in.)
8. Tighten both cap screws - be careful not to overtighten. These are small bolts, easy to wring off.
9. Reconnect battery terminals.
10. Crank engine - done.
Hope this helps.
