Take battery out first so there's no energy going to the pump next remove the gas cap so the gas tank releases pressure next locate the gas filter it should be on the passenger side in the front it looks like a barrel that has a hose coming from top ,bottom , and the side and will be easiest to access it from underneath there will be three lines going two and from it with a set of pliers or something similar loosen the little clamps and slide them up the hoses to safely remove the filter replace it with the new one (note: make sure you remember which hose goes where, then slide the clamps back down so they hold the hose tightly to the filter (note: you may have to take off the clamps and re-tighten them manually first) make sure it is very snug plug the battery back in and put the gas cap on and start the car then proceed to check the filter on all hoses for gas leaks repeat until filter is snug in hoses and doesn't leak take for a test drive around the neighborhood and check again do not leave even a small leak!
