In the engine compartment you will see the attachment hoses, disconnect them.

it is going to be a tight fit to get the new one in.
It may be pliable to an extent but be careful. You don't want to crack the new one.
Re-attach the hoses in the engine compartment
put everything back together after running/testing the new core.
