The bulb is held in by a metal wire. The wire is secured by a plastic clip at the top. Once unclipped the wire hinges down. To unclip the wire. You have to look at the very top and find the end of the wire (it is a little loop). You have to push this little loop with your finger back and to the left or right (depends on what side of the care you're on). Doing this will unclip it from the plastic piece. You should then be able to swivel/hinge the wire down. Then you can pull the bulb out and change it. Then just hinge the wire back up and clip it back at the top when you put the new bulb in. (You'll probable need a mirror to be able to see the little loop you need to push the first time.)

YES! THANK YOU! After years going nuts replacing my '02 Focus headlamp bulbs, tonight was the first time I easily did it! My '02 Focus user manual does not mention you have "push" the clip back first to dislodge it. After that step you can swivel it away so the the bulb can be removed. ONE SUGGESTION: Once I removed the bulb cover it was hard to see where the wire clip "loop" was located. I don't have a small mirror so tonight using a digital camera (or try a cell phone camera), I took a picture of the bulb housing so I could see where the wire clip "loop" was positioned which helped. Thank you again!

See posting for "How do you change the headlamp bulb in a 2003 Grand Prix?" All these model years are similar in production for the headlamp assembly.
Are you asking how to replace the entire headlight assembly -OR- how to replace just the headlight bulb? Just the bulb.
Open the hood. There are three hex head bolts that hold each headlamp to the van. Remove each bolt and gently pull headlamp out from grill using the small handle-like grip. The headlamp will remain connected to the van with the lightbulb socket. Twist the collar away from the bulb then pull the bulb assembly out of the headlamp. Replace bulbs and reassemble components.
look in your manual
you don't
take it to a trained mechanic?
