To change the headlight on a 1985 Honda Spree scooter remove the headlight housing. The scooter headlight will be mounting on the rear of the housing. Remove it and replace the bulb.
drop the bumper and take the headlight housing out

# Remove the front bumper cover # Remove the upper headlight housing mounting bolt and pushpin # Remove the lower headlight housing mounting bolts # Pull out the headlight housing assembly and disconnect the electrical connector
Each type of vehicle has a unique design to its headlight assembly. Some have the headlight and emergencey lights in one housing others have them seperated.
Where the lens meets the housing there is a seal, just replace it.
The headlight housing has a torque spit, located just above the housing itself, under the hood, remove this and the housing should come out, just twist the harness and pull the bulb out and replace.
Headlight Bulb Replacement * If your going to replace the left hand light bulb remove the air filter housing * Disconnect the electrical connector unless replacing the headlight housing * Rotate the bulb holder counterclockwise and pull it out the bulb and holder assembly Headlight Housing Replacement * Remove the front bumper cover * Remove the upper headlight housing mounting bolt and pushpin * Remove the lower headlight housing mounting bolts * Pull out the headlight housing assembly and disconnect the electrical connector
After lifting the hood first disconnect the negative side of the battery. Then from under the hood look behind the headlights, there are three retaining screws that hold the silver plastic frame that surrounds the headlights. Unscrew retaining screws then pull frame forward and down. There are three or four screws witch hold the headlight housing in place. UN-plug headlight(s) to be replace. Remove the screw from the headlight housing then remove housing and headlight(s). Replace in reverse order.
Open the hood and you will see two T15 screws on each side of the headlight lens (bulb housing) which act as the hinges remove the two screws, pull the bulb housing out and unplug the bulb. replace new bulb houseing in reverse.
Sure you can replace it! It will just burn out at an accellerated rate because of dirt, oil, and moisture making it's way into the housing.
