Replace fuse 33
1983 doesnt have a crankshaft position sensor. you have an ignition module located on the side of the distributor.
It should come on when you turn on the ignition and then go off after a few seconds. If it does not, then the bulb is burnt out or has been removed.
Toyota doesnt make a cavalier. The cavalier is made by chevrolet.
it doesnt have one,
2 1/2 hours is a reasonable labor estimate. that doesnt include an alignment (youll need one)
loosen the one or two bolts holding the alternator in place, i believe 14mm, then loosen the 12mm on the adjuster (side) and "screw" the 12mm bolt down to lower the alternator down enough and replace the belt. This is almost the same for every Toyota engine which doesnt use an automatic belt tensioner (serpentine) on the alternator.
Doesnt exist. Was never manufactured. (jzx100) Closest you can get to it is a Toyota cressida, which is a jzx81 markII sedan in japan. Doesnt exist. Was never manufactured. (jzx100) Closest you can get to it is a Toyota cressida, which is a jzx81 markII sedan in japan.
Because It Is Broken
if you are changing the ignition cylinder you need to remove the steering wheel and dig down to the lock cylinder that way. do becareful you will need a special tool to reinstall components under steering wheel. I had to replace mine when the wire broke that reads the chip in the key The special tool he is speaking of is called a spring depressor.
chesk if there is coolent and if not put some in and if that doesnt work bring it to a toyota dealer
Cylinders 1 and 4 on are the same coil. So I would probly start by replacing the 1/4 coil, and if that doesnt solve anything, replace the ignition module next.
