How to replace intrument panel lights on 2002 cadillac escalade
Remove the instrument cluster and replace the bad bulbs. Take the battery cables off!Remove the upper and lower steering colum covers. Remove the four screws on the cover. Tke the screws out of the cluster and turn it over. Replace the bad bulbs. Had to replace the whole cluster on mine as the speedometer and the heat guage were kaput!
In the dash in front of the driver The instrument cluster has your speedometer , engine coolant temperature gauge , your fuel gauge , your warning lights , etcetera
instrument panel or controls?
I need to know also. My dashboard instrument cluster lights are out and can't see the speedometer.
Cluster means all the gauges and warning lights on a vehicle i.e. fuel gauge, temp gauge speedometer, odometer, oil pressure warning lights etc.
Try the fuse box, prolly a burnt out fuse.
Check Fuses, Replace Bulbs, Replace Shift Position Sensor. End of solution
The instrument cluster needs to be removed to get at the bulbs.
you have to take out the intrument cluster and replaced the light bulbs that are inside the instrument cluster!...its really simple
You would have to pull the dashboard panel off to access the instrument panel lights which is a fair amount of work and not all that easy. Instead, save yourself alot of time, aggravation and money by doing what I did. Get a $2 button LED flashlight and velcro it to the dash shelf in front of the speedometer guage. That way, you always have a flashlight handy and when you need to see your speed, just push the flashlight's button!
you cannot service panel lights on 2000 impala . you hav to replace the instrument cluster.
remove dash replace bulb(instrument cluster)
Inside the instrument cluster. To replace them remove the cluster and take it apart.
Pull the dash off and then the instrument panel off and it is connected to the back of the instrument panel itself, easy to do but a lot of work. Or if you have a desired color that you want in your instrament pannel, go to auto zone and the have these flexable strip lights you can wire into the headlight swich, its a little easier and it looks cool too!!!
Some lights can be accessed from the trunk and some you have to take the light assy off.
really crappy light switch is my guess, but you can check the gauge fuse on the drivers side kick panel. The dimmer for the dash lights is pitiful, they may be bad there.
You need to remove the dash in order to get back there to replace any blown bulbs.
Which lights? Instrument panel? Dash? Overhead? Ash Tray? Glove box? Also, which model of Corolla?
