'm guessing you have a CEL code 23. The Knock sensor is behind the block (under the intake) and should screw out and you can chuck the new one in. The knock sensor for most Nissan V6 engines is located directly under the intake manifold. So to replace it, you have to remove the intake manifold. Good Luck.

the knock sensor in on the drivers side of the block toward the rear, and it's under the intake manifold.
On the 5.4 the knock sensor is under the intake and the connector is in the back of the motor on the passenger side.
