How do you replace o ring on transmission fill tube?

Clean gunk away from around and above the area where the tube will be pulled out from the case. Find the metal bracket mid-way down the tube and find the bolt that lies just out of sight from above and just out of reach from below. Remove bolt. Remove dip-stick and siphon a quart or so from pan with surgical tubing and/or lift passenger side of vehicle to minimize fluid loss. Have a pan ready and pull up and twist the tube out. Carefully remove old o-ring. CFlean tube and indented o-ring slot. Lube tube and o-ring with tranny fluid. InstaLL o-ring on tube and carefully coax it back down into position. You'll sense when it feels like it's there. Place bolt back into block slowly being sure not to cross-thread. This is one bolt you only want to have to get to it once. Not a good candidate to have to repair or re-thread. Lower car (if raised). Replace any lost fluid and re-insert cleaned dip-stick. You're done.
