how to replace break pads on 2001 4runner
How do you replace the front break pads on a Toyota corolla .
adjustment is not needed. they will auto adjust on their own. if you have a rear break issue, then it is time to replace them, or have them inspected
Hit it with a hammer to break it loose
You don't. You replace the worn out rear break shoes. If that doesn't do it you need to replace the stretched E brake cable.
you have to separate engine and transmission
Under the seat you will find a yellow tab. Push up on it and lift the front of the seat. The back hooks in so as you lift it and pull forward it should come out. Be careful not to break the wires under there. Good luck.

The 06 tundra has a timing belt. Toyota says to replace it and the water pump at 90,000 miles. I waited til 110,000 miles and changed it and it wasn't worn out. But if it does break it can cost you a motor.
kool
$40-60 per line depending on line + at least 1 hour of labor at least + brake fluid.
