First of all, you should make sure that a resistor change is necessary. You can do this by checking the fuse by the passenger door. It may be blown. If not, check the blower fan under the hood (#53; 30 amps). This may or may not fix the fan (for the highest speed only). So, on to the blower motor resistor. You must purchase it from http://www.gmpartsdirect.com or from your GM dealer. It is part number 89018413. As described, it's located under the passenger dashboard, way back against the firewall. You remove a couple of plastic covers to gain access, then there's a square black plastic module that you can slide to the right to get out of the way. The resistor is held in with (2) 7/32" screws. An extra 6" extension on a ratchet is a great help (in addition to the universal joint and 4" stock extension). Remove it and put in a new one. This should fix it.

Your wiring is probably messed up, happened to me. Locate the wires from the blower to the controls check them and replace as needed. Assuming no wiring problem check and replace the blower motor resistor.
The blower motor resistor circuit board has gone bad. Replace the blower motor resistor. I did Still dont work Try the fuses...Had the same problem and it was a blown fuse.
The blower motor speed resistor is burned out. You can replace only the resistor but the resistor probably burned out because the blower motor is going bad. If you want to fix it for good, replace both the blower motor and blower motor speed resistor.
