You will need to remove the inside door panel in order to remove the side mirror retaining bolts. Remove the wiring harness from the mirror. Reverse the process to install the new side mirror.

Frank, you need to most likely pull off the door panel possibly armrest too. there should be 2-3 nuts that have to be removed and possibly wiring if electric mirrors. Wiring should dis-connect inside door hence taking door panel off. If not electric just take off cover inside door opposite mirror remove nuts and put new.
Actually very easy on this van. there is a small panel inside the door, right by the mirror. this panel pops off and there are 3 bolts that have to be removed (keep these & reuse them for the new mirror). One of the bolts is down inside but you can get at it without removing the entire door panel. Took 1 person about 15 minutes.
